Theyyam- An ancient ritualistic dance
Tag:Theyyam is an form, which originated in North Kerala or Malabar especially in the districts of Kannur and Kasaragod. This region was part of the princely state of erstwhile Kolathunadu.The word Theyyam is believed to have been evolved from the word Daivam, which means God in Malayalam language.In the year of 2006 i got crazy idea of capturing this art in my handy cam.. i went to my friend sujay`s home in kannur and i captured this video sparing the whole night .All what i experienced is not the dance performance of some good artist.. but it is the divine transformation of a man into a goddesses.These are the most amazing shots i ever had in my life..
